We are always looking for folks who have experience working with children and/or teens, experience with death and grief, and/or sincere interest in this work to join our facilitation team. We wish to increase the diversity of our team. Men and people of color are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be willing to make a minimum of a one-year commitment to Josie's Place, and longer is desired.
We are also looking for Associate MFTs or recent Masters in Counseling graduates to co-facilitate our school-based groups that meet weekly for 8 weeks during the school day.
We provide over 30 hours of training, including hands-on practice, to support facilitators in developing competence to do grief support work in our groups. Every volunteer facilitator is required to attend each day of the training. Our training will be in-person and onsite at our location in the Inner Sunset. Proof of vaccination is required to attend.

The training fee is $200 for those who wish to become volunteer facilitators, and $500 for community members taking the training for professional development. Financial assistance is available.
