Josie’s Place provides facilitated peer-support groups to children and teens in the San Francisco Bay Area who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling, close relative or friend. Our groups offer a safe environment for the expression of feelings and thoughts about the death of a loved one. Trained facilitators assist participants in the healing process.
Our open-ended support groups meet on the first and third Wednesdays and 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 6:30 - 8:15 PM in the Sunset District in San Francisco. Additionally, we offer time-limited school-based support groups.
Josie’s Place is a program of the San Francisco Study Center a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
We gratefully accept tax-deductible donations to help us sustain our current programs and to increase our services to the community.
