Josie's Place offers grief support for children and teens in San Francisco

Josie’s Place provides facilitated peer-support groups to children, teens, young adults, and caregivers in the San Francisco Bay Area who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling, close relative or friend. Our groups offer a safe environment for the expression of feelings and thoughts about the death of a loved one. Trained facilitators assist participants in the healing process.
We currently offer open-ended support groups currently meet on Zoom and in-person, and groups are organized by age. Additionally, we have offered time-limited school-based support groups.
If you are interested in joining our groups or referring a family to our services, please contact us via info@josiesplace.org or 415-513-6343. Please note that we are experiencing a high demand for services right now and that many of our groups currently have a waitlist. We strive to respond to requests as soon as we can within the week.
Josie’s Place is a program of the San Francisco Study Center a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We gratefully accept tax-deductible donations to help us sustain our current programs and to increase our services to the community.
