Josie’s Place provides facilitated peer-support groups to children, teens, young adults, and caregivers in the San Francisco Bay Area who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling, close relative or friend. Our groups offer a safe environment for the expression of feelings and thoughts about the death of a loved one. Trained facilitators assist participants in the healing process.
We currently offer open-ended support groups which meet on Zoom and in-person. Groups are organized by age. Additionally, we offer time-limited school-based support groups.
If you are interested in joining our groups or referring a family to our services, please contact us via info@josiesplace.org or leave a message at 415-513-6343. We strive to respond to requests as soon as we can within the week.
As of July 1, 2024, Josie's Place is a program of Sunset Youth Services, a 510(c)(3) organization working to remove obstacles for systems-impacted youth in San Francisco, CA.
