Josie's Place needs your support. Our programs are vital and growing, and our need for funding has grown with our expanding programs. We need YOU to help ensure that we continue to thrive. All of the money raised with this event will go directly towards strengthening our community, so that no child has to grieve alone.

Josie’s Place provides facilitated peer-support groups to children and teens in the San Francisco Bay Area who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling, close relative or friend. Our groups offer a safe environment for the expression of feelings and thoughts about the death of a loved one. Trained facilitators assist participants in the healing process.

Our open-ended support groups meet on the first and third Wednesday evenings of the month from 6:30 - 8:15 PM in the Sunset District in San Francisco.  Additionally, we offer time-limited school-based support groups. 

Josie’s Place is a program of the San Francisco Study Center a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
